Just a short description: this image depicts an adventurer coming out of the "pixeled world" through an invisible barrier which separate the "real world". I choose a mountain biker to represent the adventurer simply because I like bike and I love to ride :P ... nothing more.
Background was created using a Terragen program (it's free and it's one of the best) with realism set to 70% for the pixelly effect. An overlay of the same terrain was later added this time with realism set to 100%. Sinedot II filter (another one of the best plug-ins) was also added to sorta' mesh the two together. There were three parts in the "biker" which were done on three separate canvasses--the head, the body, and the bike. These three were all combined on one canvas, resized, and adjusted to fit together before finally pasted on the background. Common PSP tools used: Drawing, Preset Shapes, Paintbrush, Clonebrush, Freehand selector, Shape selector. Common PSP effects used: Dropshadow, Motion blur, Gaussian blur, and Smudge. Other features commonly used were Layer Properties, Cut, Copy and Paste.
