SUMMER BREEZE



This tutorial was done in PSP 9. All the features used can be found in Paint Shop Pro 7, 8, 9, and 10. Some effects and features are rendered differently from version to version. You may have to change some settings to get the desired result.

REQUIREMENTS: PSP 7, 8, 9 or 10 and basic knowledge of the program.

 

Part 3 - Beach

1. Open SeaWater.pspimage from Part1 and SandTexture.pspimage from Part2 if you haven't done so already.

2. Copy SeaWater Image and paste it on the SandTexture Image as a New Layer.

3. Use Eraser Tool with this setting: Size=80, Hardness=0, Step=25, Density=100, Rotation=0, Thickness=100, Opacity=15. Erase a portion of SeaWater Layer shown below:

4. Go to Layer => Duplicate Layer.

5. Go to Layer => Layer Properties => Overlay.

6. In the Layer Palette, click on SeaWater Layer again to make it active. Drag Eraser Tool over the area shown below to indicate shallow water with sand showing through. Careful not to erase the area completely..

7. And that's it! Add people, boats, surfers, balls, leaves, etc. to complete the scene. In the sample below, PSP Tubes summer leaves, autumn leaves and soccer ball were used...
